Malakoff Elementary School is bursting with pride as they celebrate their student Ediza Barron, who has officially been named the UISD Top AR (Accelerated Reader) Reader of the Year! 

Ediza broke records, earning over 2,000 AR points this school year alone! 

Malakoff Elementary Librarian Cristina Martinez Vidaurri, who is celebrating 32 years of inspiring young readers, noted that she has never seen a student achieve a milestone this big in her entire career. 

"Ediza is an exceptional, smart, and motivated student," says Ms. Vidaurri.
