The Support Services division is a vital part of United ISD, providing essential goods and services to all our schools and departments. Our 25-person team, based at 3501 E. Saunders in Laredo, Texas, works hard to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.
Our work is divided into four key areas:
- Warehouse Operations: We manage two warehouses—the 20,000 sq. ft. Saunders Warehouse and the larger 40,000+ sq. ft. Gale Warehouse. We handle all incoming district deliveries, from furniture to textbooks, and our fleet of 18 vehicles ensures everything gets where it needs to go on time.
- Textbook Services: We're in charge of instructional materials, managing the entire lifecycle of our textbooks and workbooks. We use TipWeb software to keep a tight handle on inventory and make sure our schools have the resources they need.
- Print Services: Our in-house department is a high-volume operation, cranking out 18 million copies a year. We handle everything from pre-K workbooks to administrative forms, often getting materials delivered the very next day.
- GPS and Fleet Management: We oversee the district's fleet of 320 white vehicles, using CALAMP and Fleetio software to monitor performance, improve driver safety, and manage all maintenance records.
Led by an experienced team of supervisors, our main goal is to provide excellent customer service and support the continued growth of United ISD.
