Program Overview
The Department of Elementary Mathematics promotes excellence in teaching and learning by enabling all students to build a foundation of basic understandings in number sense, number operations, and quantitative reasoning; patterns, relationships, and algebraic thinking; geometry and spatial reasoning; measurement; probability and statistics; and problem-solving. Our department provides a high-quality TEKS-based scope and sequence aligned with state and district standards and enhanced with meaningful learner-centered activities and technology applications.
