  • Yes, All UISD Police Officers are commissioned peace officers licensed by the State of Texas. They have full arrest powers and authority.

  • Yes, UISD Police Officers can arrest offenders of the law both on and off campus.

  • Yes, UISD Police Officers are authorized to issue traffic citations. We have officers that monitor traffic violations.

  • If you receive a ticket from a UISD Police Officer, you will be required to appear in the appropriate Justice of the Peace Court.

  • If you do not appear in court or pay for fine, a warrant for your arrest may be issued by the court.

  • To report an incident occurring on school property or involving students, call the UISD Police Department Dispatcher at (956) 473-6361, 24 hours Monday thru Friday. On call Police Officer after normal hours (5:00 pm – 7:00 am) Monday thru Friday and weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 24 hrs a day, Cell# (956) 285-9037. Be prepared to give as much of the following information as possible!

    • What happened?
    • Where did it happen?
    • Did any injuries occur?
    • Were any weapons involved?
    • A description of the suspects.
    • A description of any vehicles involved.
