Clear Backpack Policy
Clear Backpack Policy
United ISD will be requiring clear backpacks for the 2025-2026 school year.
In a continued effort to enhance school safety for students and staff, United ISD will require clear backpacks for all students in grades K-12 for the 2025-2026 school year. This requirement excludes pre-K students.
Students will be allowed to carry a small, non clear pouch in their backpack to store personal items, such as cell phones, money, and hygiene products. Parents will need to purchase their own preferred backpack that meets the Clear Backpack requirements. Parents who had previously received a District-issued backpack may still use the clear backpack warranty replacement program if it qualifies.
The Clear Backpack requirement alone does not guarantee complete security. This requirement is one of many proactive measures that United ISD is taking to enhance safety for students and staff.
