Robyn Colin Named Head Softball Coach at Alexander High School

Alexander High School and United ISD Athletics are proud to announce the promotion of Robyn Colin to Head Softball Coach. A veteran educator and seasoned coach, Colin transitions from her role as an assistant to lead the Lady Bulldogs into a new era.
Coach Colin’s appointment marks a special milestone in Alexander High School history, as she takes over the helm from her father, Alexander Colin, following his recent retirement. Robyn has spent the last six years coaching alongside him, contributing to the program’s growth and maintaining the high standards of Bulldog softball.
A 2008 graduate of Nixon High School, Colin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) in 2013. She brings 12 years of total teaching and coaching experience across both UISD and LISD, including nine dedicated years as an assistant softball coach.
Campus and district leaders highlighted Colin’s deep connection to the program and her expertise in player development as key factors in her promotion. Alexander High School Principal Rosanna Arizola said, "Coach Robyn's passion for softball and commitment to player development make her an excellent fit for our program," "Her experience makes her a tremendous asset to our girls at Alexander High School." UISD Director of Athletics Bobby Cruz added, "We are excited to promote Coach Colin to lead the softball program at Alexander. She has the unique opportunity to take over the program from her dad. She has been an integral part of the program as an assistant coach and we look forward to her building on this program's successes."
For Coach Colin, the role is both a professional milestone and a personal honor. Growing up in a coaching family, as the daughter of former head coaches Alexander and Lee Ellen Colin, she understands the impact of strong mentorship.
“I am truly honored and humbled to be stepping into the role of Head Softball Coach at Alexander High School,” said Coach Colin. “This program and community have played such an important role in my life. I’ve been fortunate to coach alongside my father and learn from the dedication, discipline, and tradition he brought to Alexander. His impact is something I deeply respect and intend to carry on.”
Colin expressed her eagerness to continue building a culture of success: “My goal is to build on the strong foundation already in place while continuing to create a culture of hard work, unity, and success for our Bulldogs.”
Coach Colin is the proud mother of two children, Alexander (5) and Arya (3).
