UISD Custodians Gather for Annual Training

The 2026 Annual District-Wide In-Service for our United ISD Custodial Services team was held at the Bill Johnson Student Activity Complex.
With 325 dedicated custodians in attendance, the day reflected the strength, professionalism, and commitment of the individuals who work behind the scenes to keep our campuses clean, safe, and welcoming for every student and staff member.
Throughout the training, important topics were covered from Human Resources updates and employee benefits to maintenance operations and workplace safety. These sessions provide essential information—but also empower our custodial team with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.
Under the leadership of Hector G. Cavazos and the Fixed Assets/Custodial Services Department, this annual in-service continues to highlight the value of teamwork, growth, and dedication across the district.
Their pride in their work and commitment to excellence truly make a difference in our schools every single day. Thank you to all the custodians for everything you do—you are an essential part of our district’s success.
