The Budget Office is responsible for the preparation and adoption of the District budget. The Board of Trustees must annually adopt a budget for the General Operating Fund, Debt Service Fund and Child Nutrition Fund.

The 2025-2026 United Independent School District expenditure budget includes $466,551,557(General Fund), $33,603,586 (Debt Service Fund), and $41,461,597 (Child Nutrition Fund) for a total budget of $541,616,740.

Projected revenue is based on the tax rate of $0.721655. The Maintenance and Operations (General Fund) tax rate will decrease by $0.050300 from last year and the new rate will be $0.618900. The Debt Service Fund tax rate will decrease by $0.014015 from last year and the new rate will be $0.102755.
