Rebeca Martinez Promoted to Associate Principal at John B. Alexander High School 9th Grade Campus

The United Independent School District is proud to announce the promotion of Rebeca Martinez as Associate Principal at John B. Alexander High School 9th Grade Campus. With 22 years of professional experience at UISD, Mrs. Martinez is ready to shape the next generation of Bulldogs with collaborative leadership and academic excellence.
A proud product of United ISD herself, Mrs. Martinez began her career as an educator, teaching mathematics at John B. Alexander High School before serving as Assistant Principal at United South Middle School and as a High School Mathematics Coordinator for UISD Curriculum and Instruction. Other administrator positions include 2024 Summer School Principal at John B. Alexander High School and, most recently, Assistant Principal at John B. Alexander High School 9th Grade Campus. Each role has strengthened her passion for leadership and her commitment to student achievement.
"I’m incredibly honored and grateful for this opportunity. Being selected to serve as Associate Principal is both humbling and exciting,” said Mrs. Martinez. It represents the trust that United ISD has placed in me, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of our students, staff, and community."
As Associate Principal, Mrs. Martinez will support instructional leadership, improve student achievement, foster a positive campus culture, collaborate with teachers and parents, and ensure that every decision is centered on students' success and well-being.
"My goal is to continue building champions by creating a positive learning environment where every student can succeed," added Mrs. Martinez. "I want to support our teachers, strengthen collaboration with parents and our broader community, promote instructional excellence, and help every Bulldog reach their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally."
She credits her success to the values instilled by her parents and the educational foundation she received as a United ISD student. She is a graduate of United South High School who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education in 2003 and a Master of Science in Education in 2012 from Texas A&M International University. She also holds Texas certifications as an EC-12 Principal and Secondary Mathematics teacher for grades 6-12, among others.
Outside of school, Mrs. Martinez enjoys spending time with her husband, Jorge Martinez, and their four children, Rogelio Peña III, David Martinez, Alyssa Martinez, and Jorge Martinez Jr. She also enjoys expressing her creativity through wreath making, supporting school events, and pursuing professional growth as an educational leader.
With more than two decades of service to United ISD, Mrs. Martinez says she remains guided by servant leadership and a commitment to building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. UISD congratulates Mrs. Rebeca Martinez on her appointment and looks forward to her continued success.
