United High School Hosts First-Ever Medical Assistant Pinning Ceremony
United High School proudly celebrated a historic milestone as the Longhorns hosted their first-ever pinning ceremony for Medical Assistant students. The special event recognized the students’ hard work, perseverance, and dedication throughout a rigorous Fall semester.
During the ceremony, newly pinned and certified Medical Assistant students were honored for mastering both the clinical and administrative aspects of healthcare. Their training included taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering injections, performing EKGs, as well as medical coding, medical law and ethics, and patient scheduling.
Principal Jessica Salazar and her staff are proud of these students and their accomplishments. UISD looks forward to the meaningful impact they will make in the medical field. Go Longhorns!
