National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Publications and Electronic Media Awards contest is open to all public and private schools and districts in the United States and Canada.

SchoolMessenger “Spread the Word Back-to-School Video Contest.” United Public Relations won the Judge’s Panel Award in this national contest for producing a video that best met the contest goals. United Public Relations produced a 30 second PSA in both English and Spanish to inform parents, students and educators about SchoolMessenger, the District’s new notification service. The Public Relations Department donated the $5,000 prize to the United ISD Scholarship Program, providing scholarships to five deserving students.

Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) Star Awards provide recognition for outstanding education communications and video production. United ISD competes in the category of school districts with a student population of more than 30,000.
