The United ISD Public Relations Department serves as a vital link between the district and the communities it serves. Our purpose is to foster strong relationships, pride, and promote clear, consistent, and meaningful communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Through a strategic, two-way communication approach, the department informs, engages, and listens to students, families, employees, and community members. Our work supports transparency, promotes understanding, and fosters a culture of openness and collaboration across the district through social media, instructional television and public relations campaigns.

Aligned with the district’s Vision and Mission, the Public Relations Department supports district priorities through proactive planning, thoughtful messaging, and responsible storytelling. We share timely information, highlight student and staff achievements, and communicate openly during both celebrations and challenges.

The Public Relations Department produces a unique and diverse variety of informational, educational, and promotional English and Spanish videos which include: training videos, Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for both television and radio, music videos, recruitment videos, district newscasts, academic game shows, interviews, and special videos to promote schools, departments, and various district programs. In addition, the department also records all board meetings, graduations, concerts, sports, and special events.

Our team of school communicators works to:

• Promote positive school culture by sharing authentic stories of success
• Maintain transparency and preparedness in crisis communication

By utilizing multiple communication channels and maintaining open dialogue, the Public Relations Department plays a key role in increasing community engagement, supporting district initiatives, and advancing the success of United ISD.
