The central goal of the Social Studies Department of Instruction is to provide our students with a background in the various social sciences which will enable them to understand the past and make connections to the present in order to become active citizens of our democratic society.

Program Overview

Students shall learn the importance of social skills (citizenship, culture, economics, geography, government, history, science & technology, and reading/critical thinking) with an emphasis on leveled curriculum.
