At our school district, we believe in nurturing every child's potential. Our mission is to provide a learner-centered, TEKS-based curriculum for students from Pre-K through 5th grade. Our dedicated Instructional Coordinators, along with a team of talented teachers from across the district, work tirelessly to create a curriculum that is not only aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills but also engaging and student-focused.
To ensure your child receives the best education, we have developed checkpoints and district assessments that align with our curriculum. These checkpoints are periodic assessments designed to gauge your child's understanding of the lessons covered. They are tailored to the grade level and subject area and are available in the language of instruction.
In preparation for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), we administer district benchmarks in key content areas. These benchmarks provide a comprehensive overview of your child's progress and readiness for state assessments.
Every student in grades 3-5 will receive a Data Management for Assessment and Curriculum (DMAC) progress report. This report highlights your child's performance on district assessments and offers insights into their preparedness for the STAAR test. We encourage parents to review these reports with their children, sign them, and return them to the teacher to support their learning journey.
