Online Application Instructions

 

We welcome your application for available job openings.

Candidates who submit an online application for district-wide positions (e.g., Teacher, Para-Professional, Auxiliary or Substitute) will be given consideration as vacancies become available. District-wide applications will be kept on file for six months from the date of submission.   Teaching Positions United ISD accepts teacher applications throughout the year.  Please submit the following documents:
  • Resume (recommended)
  • Official Transcripts
  • Service Records (if you have previous school district experience)
  • Texas Teaching Certificate and/or acceptance letter from an Alternative Certification Program (ACP)
  • Three (3) reference forms from current or previous supervisors
Administrative Positions Administrative positions will be posted on our District website.  These positions are not part of a district wide pool.  The applicant needs to apply specifically for the position sought.  (Previously submitted applications will not automatically add your name to a database). Please submit the following documents:
  • Resume (required)
  • Official Transcripts – (Graduate, if applicable)
  • Service Records (if applicable)
  • PDAS and ILD certificates (if Applicable)
  • Three (3) reference forms from current or previous supervisors
Para-Professional/Auxiliary/Substitute Positions Para-Professional/Auxiliary/Substitute positions will be posted on our District website. Please submit the following documents:
  • Proof of high school diploma/GED (if applicable)
  • Official Transcripts (if applicable)
  • Service Records (if you have previous school district experience)
  • Two (2) references forms from current or previous supervisors
  • Resume (required) for Police Officer position

***INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED

An application is not considered complete unless it contains all the information/documents required.  Required documents must be on file in the Human Resources Department on or before 5:00 p.m. on the closing date for the position.   Applicants who apply for District-wide pools have five days from the date of application to submit supporting documents.   Documents can be uploaded with your online application, mailed, hand-delivered or faxed to the HR Department. Please Note: United ISD will contact each applicant's most current supervisor for reference information. It is important for applications to be complete, current, and accurate if individuals are going to be considered for employment. Not all applicants will be interviewed and not all interviewed applicants will be hired. ***New applicants recommended for employment for safety-sensitive positions as operators, mechanics and/or operators of mechanical equipment will be required to take and pass a drug-screening test.

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE:

To comply with Senate Bill 9, after January 1, 2008, all new hires who are not certified by the State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) will be required to undergo a national criminal history check. The newly hired employee will be responsible to pay all NON-REFUNDABLE fees and will be fingerprinted as part of the compliance process.
