Speaker Spotlight: Responding to Child and Parent Concerns in the School Setting

Children's Advocacy Center of Laredo-Webb County

This year, United I.S.D Deputy Superintendent for Administration and Operations, Gloria Rendon, will also be joining us on April 21, 2021.

There are a multitude of reasons a parent or guardian might call, post on social media, or visit your school or district offices to file or express a concern.

While school employees are aware of the guidelines for dealing with parental/guardian concerns, handling the more complex ones can be challenging. Although there is no one-size-fits-all approach to handle every incident, there are some important guidelines school personnel can follow to ensure that a bad situation is not made worse.

This session will review a multi-step plan for handling concerns and will review situational scenarios.
