Javier Hernandez, Owner/Instructor of the Barber Education Academy, donated $500.00 to UISD's 5k Run/Walk & Health fair for Scholars. All proceeds will help provide financially challenged UISD high school graduates with "kick start" college scholarships. The Barber Education Academy  has participated in the District's past health fairs and has provided free haircuts to students at Johnson High School. This year, the academy will expand that service by offering no-cost haircuts to students at United South High School.
