Reading on the Roof at United Middle School

At United Middle School, a culture of reading gets rewarded. Every six weeks, the school hosts an event for students that have met their reading goal for those six weeks. This occasion, the school hosted the "Reading on the Roof" event where students from 6th through 8th grade that met their goal attended and enjoyed the reading of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid 'The Melt Down'" with Mr. Carlos Ramirez leading the lecture. The activity invites students to read along with their copy of the book, which they also got to keep. Students were also encouraged to read out loud to their classmates.
