The Powell Watson Motors Auto Group hosted a United ISD press conference at their Mercedes-Benz dealership for the announcement of the 4th annual Golf Tournament “FORE” Our Students. During the press conference, owner Jonathan Watson presented a check in the amount of $15,000 to get this year’s fundraising effort underway. The company will also provide golfers with a hole-in-one opportunity to win a brand new automobile.
The 4th annual Golf Tournament “FORE” Our Students will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course located at 27700 Mines Road (FM1472). Tee-off is 8:30 a.m. The event, coordinated through the United ISD Athletics Department, is a three-man scramble (adult), tournament. Final results will be announced at the conclusion of the event and First, Second and Third place trophies will be awarded to the top teams. Meals and beverages will be served, and additional sponsors will provide door prizes. All proceeds from the tournament will be utilized to provide scholarships for college-bound students at United ISD high schools.

Their contributions over the years have enabled the District to provide hundreds of students with starter scholarships.”, said UISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos.
