In 2014, Escamilla-Flores was promoted to assistant principal for R. S. Killam Elementary where she honed her leadership skills for the last nine years. In addition, she served as summer school principal for Zaffirini Elementary, Cuellar Elementary, and Bonnie Garcia Elementary, to name a few. In addition to her impressive academic achievements, Escamilla-Flores has also dedicated her off time to sponsoring the Student Leadership PBIS team.
Escamilla-Flores earned a Bachelor of Science with an Early Childhood Education Bilingual Specialization, and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M International University.
