United High School recently honored five Longhorn students for being recognized by The National Merit Scholarship Program with an outdoor certificate presentation. The National Merit Scholarship Program is a United States academic scholarship competition for recognition and university scholarships administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). The highest-achieving students in the NMSC are designated as National Merit Scholars. Finalists and Semifinalists are also given recognition for their academic and extracurricular achievements.
United High School’s National Merit Scholars are Derian Compean, Ambrosio Gomez, Alejandro Gonzalez-Ayala, Nikole E. Munson, and Carlos A. Velasquez. Congratulations to these five fine young scholars.
