Los Obispos M.S. Students Honored by

Communities in Schools of Laredo (C.I.S.) and Los Obispos Middle School (L.O.M.S.) congratulate the winners of the Do the Write Thing Essay ChallengeL.O.M.S. 8th grade student Joel Luna was selected as the National Ambassador to represent Laredo. A second 8th-grade L.O.M.S. student by the name of Cristina Torres was named as a semi-finalist. The students were asked to write about violence in our society. Both students are under the direction of their teacher, Ms. Cindy Magallanes.  "We are extremely thankful to all who took part in this event. We are also very grateful to our educators who provide support and guidance to our students", principal Jessica Salazar said.  C.I.S. writing challenges are held on an annual basis.
