Students from UISD's Cherish Center participated in a campus-wide drive to collect pairs of new socks for members of our community. Their tireless efforts helped to gather a total of 1097 pairs of cozy footwear for all ages. The drive was led by Ms. San Juanita Avalos, who is a business media teacher at the Cherish Center campus. "Our kids were eager to lend their assistance to this drive, so we had some fun with it by turning it into a competition. This year, our students and staff will be distributing the adult socks at the Bethany House and the children's socks at the Casa Misericordia", Avalos said.
