F. D. Roosevelt Elementary students, parents, and some energized grandparents were “Wild About Working Out” as Coach Claudia Hernandez, Coach Jessica Fernandez and Coach Assistants Veronica Mata-Aguilar and Raymond Litman opened the gym doors to all exercise enthusiasts, who were clad with workout garbs and armed with water bottles. The participants positively endured one of their children’s exercise Physical Education regimens, a Tabata Interval Training Workout. The coaches stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and taking time to schedule a family-exercise activity to their daily routine. All learned that physical activity is the key to long-term health benefits, and when done as a family, the rewards are significantly enriched. Students, Parents and Family members provided very positive feedback to Ms. Sylvia A. Ruiz, Principal. Parents look forward to continuing in the participation of these types of sessions in the future.
