United ISD Wind Symphony Memorial Day Concert at LC's, Martinez Fine Arts Auditorium, Monday, May 27th at 6:00 PM.

Free Admission and open to the General Public.

The UISD Wind Symphony is composed of United ISD Band, Choir, Orchestra Directors and LISD, TAMIU, and LC musicians.

The conductor is Carlos Gil, former United South HS Band Director.  This Memorial Day Concert will feature Popular Band and Patriotic Music and is presented in honor of Laredo and surrounding area Veterans.  UISD and AHEC  are proud sponsors of this concert.

Selections such as American Overture for Band, Overture to Candide, Stars and Stripes, America the Beautiful, and Armed Forces Medley are some of the selections to be performed by the UISD Wind Symphony.

Guest Conductor is Juan A. Valenciano, former Nixon HS Orchestra Director and featured soloists are Dr. Joe D. Compean III and Ray Pena.

We encourage Veterans to attend as well as the general public to enjoy fine symphonic band music.  Mindy Casso from KGNS will be the MC for the concert.
