Pamela Arredondo Selected as New Perales Middle School Principal

United Independent School District is happy to announce Pamela Arredondo has been selected as the new Principal of Raul Perales Middle School. She has replaced Martha Alvarez, who is now Principal of United South High School.

She attended the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Science of Kinesiology with a double major in Kinesiology and English Literature in 2005. She later earned a Master's degree in Education Administration from TAMIU.

She has been an educator for 18 years, with 16 of those at UISD. She taught PE at Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District for 2 years before moving to Laredo. She was a reading teacher and department head at United South Middle School for seven years, and then became an Assistant Principal at the school for 3 years. She moved to Raul Perales Middle School as Assistant Principal for one year before becoming Principal at Clark Middle School, where she has been for the last four years.

She is very grateful to the Board of Trustees and Superintendent David H. Gonzalez for giving her the opportunity to lead Raul Perales MS as Principal. She looks forward to working with the teachers, staff and parents of this campus and is excited to be back.
