UISD Superintendent nominated for Orgullo Latino Legacy Award by Webb County Lulac

The United Independent School District congratulates Superintendent David H. Gonzalez on being nominated for the 2023 Orgullo Latino Legacy Award presented by the Webb County Lulac Council #22387. This award recognizes individuals for their achievements and contributions to the Latino community. It honors those who have committed to positively impacting Laredo children and their families.

"It is a big honor for me representing the United Independent School District with the Webb County Lulac organization, who through this are giving back to the community by giving scholarships to high school seniors. We have a lot of people within United ISD making an impact everyday and it is an honor for me to be part of it," said Superintendent David Gonzalez.

The Orgullo Latino Legacy Award is an annual fundraiser event that provides scholarships for high school students in Webb county. A special award dinner will be hosted on April 6, 2023 to recognize this year's recipients. Congratulations, as well to the other recipients, Janet Zapata from Pizzeria 550, and the L&F Distributors.
