United ISD continues to emphasize the importance of daily class attendance at each of its four high schools. This spring semester, Alexander, Lyndon B. Johnson, United South, and United High Schools will each host “Perfect Attendance” rallies. Students who have maintained perfect attendance will be invited to participate in drawings held during the rallies. Prizes include DVD players, MP3 players, television sets, video game systems and other items.
Students who achieve best perfect attendance for any or all nine week periods during the 2011-2012 school year, will be allowed to participate in their school’s grand prize drawing at the end of the school year. Each grand prize package includes a four day and three night stay at the J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa, season passes to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and movie tickets to the Santikos Palladium IMAX Theatre. The total value of each grand prize package is about $1,790. A total of four grand prize packages (one per high school), will be awarded.
