Payroll

 

Payroll is responsible for filing with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), and various other entities in which require payroll deductions for child support, student loan repayments, and other legal garnishments.

 

In 2006-07 payroll processed payments for 4,808 employees averaging $11,196,544.19 and $3,130,339 in payroll deductions a month.  For 2007-08, the District estimates payroll to be $224,269,396 in the General Fund for about 5,765 employees.
