Program Overview
The Department of Instruction for Secondary Education in Mathematics promotes excellence in teaching and learning by enabling all students to build a foundation in numerical operations, algebraic thinking; geometry and spatial reasoning; measurement; probability and statistics; and problem-solving. Our department provides a high quality TEKS-based scope and sequence aligned with state and district standards and enhanced with meaningful learner-centered activities and technology applications. We are committed to provide support to every teacher to ensure that ALL students become life-long learners, problems-solvers, and analytical thinkers.
