Secondary Education Department Mission Statement
The mission of the United Independent School District Secondary Education Department is:
- To develop an aligned TEKS based scope and sequence for english, mathematics,
reading, science, and social
studies for grades 6-12.
- To increase students' college readiness level thru the use of SAT
preparation classes and instructional activities
- To support classroom teachers by providing professional development
opportunities
- To support teachers in integrating technology into the curriculum
- To assist teachers in providing differentiated instruction for
diverse learners.
