| The ULTIMATE Robotics team serves as an extracurricular organization that provides a platform for students to gain the skills needed to become tomorrow's leaders. Our year-round program concentrates on promoting science, math, technology, and engineering.
The ULTIMATE Robotics began its inaugural season in 2002 as a small team with a big vision. In the last seven years, the team has worked to live up to original expectations and expand goals to greater ones.
ULTIMATE looks to develop students with diverse interests for all disciplines. Our multi-faceted team has functioned as a medium for future engineers, scientists, businessmen, journalists, and artists to develop their skills in preparation for higher education. We aim to provide a fun, educational, and winning environment open to all students within our school.
At the same time, we actively look to spread our vision and program throughout our community with the hope that more students from the region can indulge in the experience that our past, current, and future students have enjoyed.
During the fall, ULTIMATE, Team #34, busily works on the robot, table display, engineering notebook, and oral presentation intended for competition at our hub, San Antonio BEST. Although ULTIMATE is provided with a strict list of parts and kit allowed for competition and given only six weeks to prepare for competition, the team manages to accomplish the BEST challenge and advance to Texas BEST.
During the spring semester, ULTIMATE, #922, participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). FIRST was started by American inventor Dean Kamen to instill the importance of science, technology and engineering to high school students. FIRST has provided our alumni with the tools required to succeed in the engineering field as well as other technology-related careers.
