Four U.I.S.D. students were among those recognized as “Head of The Class” for October 2012. The monthly program identifies local high school students who excel in academics and participate in extracurricular and community service activities. Teachers and counselors nominate students for the honor(s). Recognitions are sponsored in part by the U.S. Border Patrol, I.B.C., Royal Laser Wash, McDonald’s, KGNS, R Communications, A&E Office Products, Best Buy, Rock Fitness Center, AHEC, Laredo Bucks, H.E.B., L.E.A., Dr. Sara E. Campos, M.D. and the City of Laredo Public Access Channel.
