The United Independent School District Transportation Department will participate in the following activities in observance of “National School Bus Safety Week” beginning on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012.
- Tuesday, October 16th, 9:30 a.m. – UISD/LISD School Bus Parade begins at Leyendecker Elementary located at 1311 Garden Street and will end at the UISD Student Activity Complex (SAC). Proclamation honors will be presided by the Honorable Raul G. Salinas, Mayor for the City of Laredo. Board and administration representatives from both districts as well as state and local law enforcement officials will be in attendance.
- Wednesday, October 17th, 9:00 a.m. – Transportation Employee Appreciation Breakfast at the UISD Transportation North Compound located at 501 Eden Lane.
- Thursday, October 18th, 9:00 a.m. – Transportation Employee Appreciation Breakfast at the UISD Transportation South Compound located at 5256 Cielito Lindo Blvd.
