Leading the Way! Students in the Library Leader’s Club at Matias De Llano Elementary School won first place in the Student Uniform Drive held by the United Independent School District. These 4th and 5th grade students challenged every student at their campus to bring in at least one gently used student uniform item so they could win the Districtwide contest. Their efforts paid off! The students were able to collect over 650 gently used uniforms for students in need at the District. Pictured are members of the De Llano Elementary Library Leader’s Club. Their sponsor is school librarian is Mrs. Ermeralda Rodriguez. UISD gladly accepts donations of gently used uniforms for students in need throughout the school year. Donations may be taken to the UISD Office of Public Relations located at 201 Lindenwood Drive.
