Our Department

 

The Department of Elementary English Language Arts is part of the Curriculum & Instruction Department. Our mission is to facilitate a comprehensive curriculum to all students engaging them in learning experiences through learner-centered activities so that they will use language purposefully as they comprehend, construct, and convey meaning.

 

Through a holistic writing curriculum all students will be empowered to become purposeful writers addressing immediate and long-term goals.
