The Department of Elementary English Language Arts is
part of the Curriculum & Instruction Department. Our mission is to
facilitate a comprehensive curriculum to all students engaging them in
learning experiences through learner-centered activities so that they will
use language purposefully as they comprehend, construct, and convey meaning.
Through a holistic writing curriculum all students will
be empowered to become purposeful writers addressing immediate and long-term
goals.
