Under the direction of Enrique Rangel, Assistant Superintendent for Facilities, Construction, and Student Services this department strives to participate in the successful achievement of UISD’s mission and goals by providing professional assistance, guidance and services to students, teachers, school administrators, campus staff, parents, and our community in various essential functions of the Division of Student Support Services.

The department oversees the maintenance and operations of the District’s infrastructure and facilities services. Through an effective construction program the department ensures quality control and utilizes functional, energy-efficient, low-maintenance designs with the highest quality materials, state-of-the-art energy management systems, and computer instructional technology. The department is also responsible for ensuring the efficient use of electricity by the District. Additionally, this department provides support to students and campus Administrators in the areas of health services programs, discipline management/student relations, dropout recovery/student affairs, and pregnancy education and parenting (P.E.P.) programs.
