United ISD Athletics “A Tradition of Excellence”

The United ISD athletic program is an integral component of the total educational process.  As a department, we will provide a nurturing and positive atmosphere in all athletic arenas that will cultivate the development of the student athlete’s character and intellect to prepare them to become constructive and contributing members of society.  A sound athletic program can provide valuable lessons for practical situations.  The daily influential power of a positive athletic program and coach can be life changing for many of our young people.  Student-athletes can experience daily victories, discovering within themselves the ability to overcome adversity, develop leadership skills, develop winning attitudes, be hard workers and be a part of a team which requires sacrifice and service to others.  These things are the direct result of a quality athletic program and the value of coaching kids every day… helping them make strong choices and develop strong character and good habits.

Opportunities exist for participation in the following sports: Football, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Soccer, Cross Country, Swimming, Golf and Track & Field

Student Activity Complex Overview

  • Opened in the Fall of 2002
  • Located at 5208 Santa Claudia Lane between Hwy 359 and Hwy 59 on Bob Bullock Loop 20.
  • Football / Soccer Stadium capacity is 8,500 with turf system by FieldTurf
  • Baseball Stadium capacity is 2,500
  • Softball Stadium capacity is 1,000
  • 2,300 parking spaces
  • 9 lane all-weather urethane track
  • Large concession stands at all stadiums
  • Large locker rooms with attached coaches room
