The mission of the United Independent School District Secondary Education Department is:

To develop an aligned TEKS based scope and sequence for english, mathematics, reading, science, and social studies for grades 6-12.
To increase students’ college readiness level thru the use of SAT preparation classes and instructional activities
To support classroom teachers by providing professional development opportunities
To support teachers in integrating technology into the curriculum
To assist teachers in providing differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
