Talent Search
Saturday, September 18, the Fine Arts Department hosted its 2nd UISD Talent Search contest. There were a total of 8 senior contestants throughout the District vying for the $1000.00 scholarship.
A panel of 3 out of town judges rated each student based on their overall voice quality, vocal range, musicianship and stage presence. Students displayed their vocal talents by performing their personal favorite songs which varied from ballads to classical to popular.
The judges were from San Antonio, McAllen and Harlingen and all were professional music educators!
