U.I.S.D.’s Transportation Department observed “National School Bus Safety Week” with L.I.S.D. by hosting a bus parade that started at L.I.S.D.’s Leyendecker Elementary School and concluded at the U.I.S.D. SAC Auditorium. Students from both districts participated in the festivities and proclamation ceremony. Mayor Raul Salinas and Judge Danny Valdez read the proclamation before an audience that included Superintendents from both Districts and state and local law enforcement officials. A big “thank you” goes out our bus drivers who safely transport our children to school every day.
