The annual Pumpkin Patch Contest at Muller Elementary revealed the artistic side of its students. Muller students were grouped into teams who then chose books of interest. The teams then chose characters from the books and made them come to life through the pumpkin art. Teachers worked closely with students to help them develop their projects. Mayra N. Ramirez, Muller Principal, said that the project is tied into the Accelerated Reading program. “Projects like these encourage students to read and discuss the subject matter between each other. I would like to thank all of the teachers, parents and judges who supported the project”, said Ramirez.
Overall first place winner is “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” display created by Muller 5th grade
